The Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation is proud to announce its 5th Annual D.C. Jazz Leaders in Service Awards Gala in which we honor six leaders from the Washington, D.C. music industry who have dedicated their lives to presenting, promoting, educating and performing Jazz music. This year we are also very proud to honor Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) as the head of the newly formed Congressional Jazz Caucus. This will be a ticketed event and proceeds will directly benefit the Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation and the establishment of the Junior Jazz Orchestra.

Kim Jordan-Internationally performing Pianist former pianist of Gil Scott Heron band
Leigh Pilzer-Acclaimed Baritone Saxophonist
This is a formal affair and ticket includes catered dinner and open bar.
This years program features performances by the Capitol Hill Jazz Orchestra featuring vocalist Imani-Grace Cooper.
The Gala will take place at the Yard located at 700 Penn. Ave SE and 100-150 guests are expected.
