50 Cheers for 50 Years - Anniversary of the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie

We’re planning a full day of events to celebrate the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie’s 50th anniversary!
It will be an exciting day commemorating 50 years “Building and Sharing the Art Experience” in Grande Prairie. The month of September is Alberta Culture Days and we knew it was the perfect time to celebrate such an important milestone.
Join us on Saturday, September 6, 2025 to celebrate the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie’s 50th Anniversary!
EVENING PARTY

In the evening, we’re turning up the volume with a rocking art party!! You’ll want to make sure you have your ticket to join us in 1975!
A live painting competition with two teams of local artists will go head-to-head to create six paintings. All six paintings will be available by live auction that night.
Live music from the Cecily Phelps Band followed by Pretty Damn Close.
Our 1975 theme will transport you back to a time of vinyl records, cool cars, and suede jackets. Our dress code is casual or with a nod to the 1970s vibe. Join us for a glass of wine or beer and help give 50 cheers for the Gallery’s 50 years in the community!
