About this Event
TAIBU is excited to host the 4th National Conference on Black Mental Health as part of its knowledge mobilization project - Amandla Olwazi. This successful national conference brings together community members to network and exchange Africentric knowledge Black mental health in Canada.
Participants of the conference will be members of the Mental Health of Black Canadians (MHBC) funded projects staff and volunteers, diverse and multidisciplinary team members from health and social services, Black leaders, Black elders, academic professionals, researchers, and other stakeholders.
Our theme: Bridges of Belonging: An intergenerational lens on Indigenous Black Nova Scotians and Black migration journeys Shaping our mental wellbeing today aims to bring to the forefront the various migration journeys and how they shape our mental wellbeing.
We have also lined up amazing keynote speakers to engage us in meaningful conversations.
