Freedom To Flip Out (FTFO) returns for its 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration—bringing community, competition, and culture together through pinball. Join Us!!!
Pinball isn’t something many of us grew up around.
That lack of exposure is exactly why this event exists.
Freedom To Flip Out is about creating space for Black people to discover, learn, and enjoy pinball—together. Whether you’re brand new or already love the game, this event is designed to be welcoming, accessible, and fun for everyone.

Location: Lyman’s Tavern (Washington, DC)
Entry: Free (games are pay-to-play)
🕒 Schedule
1:00 PM — Welcome + Open Play
3:00 PM — Beginner Tutorial (for anyone who wants to learn)
3:30 PM — Flipper Frenzy Tournament
4:45 PM — Awards + Closing Remarks

FTFO is about changing that.
By building community and creating intentional spaces, we’re opening the door for more people—especially Black families—to discover something new together.
