An evening including a panel, drinks and dragAbout this Event
Panel Discussion, Networking, Music and Drag Performances to kick off World Pride season & Celebrate 25 years of Gay Marriage
To mark 25 years since the world’s first legally recognised same-sex marriage, which took place in Amsterdam in 2001, Make it Werk is hosting a special evening that celebrates this historic milestone while asking an important question: how far have we really come?
Amsterdam has long been seen as a global leader in LGBTQ+ rights. Yet across Europe and beyond, equality is facing renewed pressure. This anniversary provides a powerful moment not only to celebrate progress, but to reflect on the work still needed to protect and advance LGBTQ+ rights.
The evening will centre around a moderated panel conversation bringing together voices from business, culture, activism and government. By convening perspectives across sectors, the conversation will explore how different institutions and communities can work together to safeguard equality and create meaningful change.
Following the panel, guests will be invited to stay for networking, music, refreshments and a drag performance.
