Set in the Queensland Sunshine Coast Hinterland, the Sunshine Coast Wootha Prize is a nationally recognised woodworking award that celebrates beautifully crafted timber sculpture and furniture from sustainably sourced native timbers and W**d timbers.This year’s prestigious exhibition, presented by Barung Landcare, is part of the Montville Timber Trail weekend of timber-inspired events across Montville and will be held in the stunning Montvale Glass House in Montville.
Finalist categories include Furniture, Sculpture, Tiny Treasures, and the overall William Bayliss Commemorative Prize winner of $10,000. Key sponsors include MCU Communities, Hinterland Business, Queensland Water and Land Carers, and Arbortech.
Come and be inspired by the skill and creativity of sustainable makers from across Australia who express their work through a shared ethos of “Sustainable by Nature, Beautiful by Design.”
At the Exhibition

+ Barung Nursery sales tent with native plants available across the weekend
+ "On the Deck" speakers program from 11am Saturday and Sunday. A series of informal talks about rainforest, habitat and working sustainably with timber.
+ Children's Bird Call Face-Off challenge - Sunday from 11am
+ Raffle tickets available for purchase across the weekend with some exciting prizes.
+ Woodfired pizza available and bar open

Venue: Parking is available onsite (volunteers will guide you on the day), or walk from Montville town. Montvale is also a disability friendly venue with disability parking on site. No dogs please (assistance dogs accepted).
