Join us for an immersive Annual Meeting in the former Temple Israel, built in 1911 and thoughtfully reimagined as an event venue and residences. Once a place of light, learning, and gathering, it continues its legacy as a space where people come together - rooted in history and renewed with purpose. This year’s meeting is more than an update; it is a thoughtfully curated gathering. Guests will be welcomed with a champagne reception, followed by a buffet lunch, organizational highlights, a featured presentation, and a guided tour of this remarkable building, with door prizes drawn throughout the event.
Along the way, we will pause to reflect on the foundations that sustain preservation and the community that carries it forward. From historic cornerstones to the modern systems that support our work today, PTP will share the efforts underway to strengthen the organization - ensuring Akron’s places and stories can continue to be cared for, learned from, and shared for generations to come.
A featured presentation led by Art x Love Co-Founder and Chief Catalyst Mac Love will explore Akron’s public art and community storytelling as living expressions of place, illustrating how preservation, creativity, and lived experience shape a city’s identity.
Together, we will honor what has been built, celebrate the people at the heart of preservation, and look ahead with intention and optimism - by the light of the lamp.
