About this Event
As our society faces growing challenges related to security and international cooperation, we believe that it is essential that people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds have the opportunity to learn and reflect on the causes of global insecurity and crises facing humanity. Through this event, we hope participants will not only deepen their understanding of today's humanitarian issues but also leave feeling inspired to take meaningful action.
By bringing together individuals who contribute to peace in different ways, including parliamentarians, youth representatives, artists, and medical professionals who offer perspectives on health concerns, and students who work to preserve the stories of Hibakushas, we aim to highlight how diverse voices and efforts collectively strive towards a world free of nuclear weapons.
Finally, we hope this event provides not only a space to learn about historical facts, but also a chance for participants to feel hopeful, recognizing that while achieving world peace seems impossible, participants can be a part of the continuing progress of working towards a world without nuclear weapons, and ultimately a world which has no need to rely on MAD (mutually assured destruction).
