About this Event
From the brewery that brought you Queso Bowl, we're at it again but this time we're spicing it up! We're bringing back our Salsa Y Michelada Competition! You heard that right! You asked and we're bringing it back and this time we're even throwing chanclas! Now call up the TUMS because we're about to send you into a whole different world of flavor. We're going to have the best Salsa and Michelada competitors from this side of the Mississippi throwdown, while playing Salsa music from the great DJ's at IceHouse Radio. So throw on your Stacy Adams and prepared to eat salsa, dance salsa, drink Buckle Bunny micheladas until your corazón says "no mas".
Salsa Competitor Rules:
1. Prepare one Salsa recipe enough for 200ppl | 2 oz tasters - Supply 400 oz of Salsa to be safe. Eureka will supply the tasting cups for each contestant
2. Supply your own ingredients and salsa vessels (chips, bread, ect.) Eureka will supply standard tortilla chips for all guests but feel free to bring your own.
4. Your salsa can be premade...in fact we pretty much require it.
5. Chafing dishes are allowed to keep your salsa warm (if you're into that). We will offer one dedicated power source if needed for a crockpot or other warming device. No more than one outlet per team.
6. We ask that all salsa entries containing meat/seafood products be noted for guests who may not eat meat/seafood.
7. Arrive at Eureka Heights on Saturday, May 9th for setup from 11-11:45 am and stay through the event from 12-3PM. Judging will be held at 2 PM . Peoples choice judging will end once the first salsa competitor runs out of salsa.
8. Decorate your table for a chance to win the best flair contest. Eureka will provide each team with one table.
Michelada Competitor Rules:
1. Prepare one Michelada recipe enough for 200ppl | 2 oz tasters - Supply 400 oz of Michelada to be safe. Customers will be utilizing their beer in 9 oz cups to try!
2. Supply your own ingredients.
4. Your Michelada can be premade...in fact we pretty much require it.
6. We ask that all michelada entries containing seafood products be noted for guests who may not eat seafood.
7. Arrive at Eureka Heights on Saturday, May 9th for setup from 11-11:45 am and stay through the event from 12-3PM. Judging will be held at 2 PM . Peoples choice judging will end once the first michelada competitor runs out.
8. Decorate your table for a chance to win the best flair contest. Eureka will provide each team with one table.
9. If you are selling your mix please make sure that you have proper license to do so. We will check.
So, those are the rules. Not too bad, right?
Now let's talk about the registration fee. Each team does have to pay a $30 registration fee. But wait! We will give each team 4 drink tickets to grab a beer and a guaranteed spot to compete at the best damn showdown this side of the bayou! Team fee is non-refundable

1st place (Popular Vote): A very cool trophy + $100 Gift Card + Bragging rights
2nd place (Popular Vote): A cool trophy + $25 EH Gift Card
3rd place (Popular Vote): A trophy
1st place (Chef's Choice): A really cool trophy + Bragging rights?
