The 2025 U.S. PBC Patient Conference

Why Attend: Creating a positive patient experience goes beyond technology and data—it’s about forging meaningful connections between patients and clinicians. Enjoy the first of it's kind PBC Patient panel of individuals with lived experience sharing their personal journeys. Organized by the Friends of the PBC Foundation, a national leader in PBC patient advocacy, the 2025 U.S. PBC Patient Conference brings together researchers, patients, clinicians, caregivers and liver health advocates. The focus of the conference is to explore the human side of healthcare, including empathy, leadership, and innovation.

Early Bird Registration Deadline: April 15, 2025

What to Expect: With hands-on sessions, keynotes from industry leaders, and real-life patient stories, attendees are immersed in the principles of patient-centered care. The conference also includes international perspectives, offering a broader understanding of the unmet needs of PBC patients in the United States PBC highlighting challenges and solutions. Call for Proposals due April 15, 2025.

Travel Scholarships: We will be offering a limited number of travel scholarships to PBC patients to attend the conference. Please apply via the checkout instructions that will come up after you go through Eventbrite registration and ticket purchase. We will contact you if you are awarded a scholarship. Scholarships will be given to recepients at the conclusion of the conference on September 21st.

Proposals for Presentations: The planning committee for the 2025 U. S. PBC Patients Conference invites proposals for presentations, workshops, panels, and posters that explore innovative approaches to Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) patient education through collaboration and partnerships. Please submit your proposal to before May 15, 2025.

The 2025 program offers new topics, speakers, and special wellness events, and will provide a weekend of information, inspiration, and connection. Attendees will learn from medical and wellness experts, share experiences, and leave feeling empowered to make informed decisions about their care. This year’s conference is designed with the help of a committee of individuals living with Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), to ensure each session and event addresses the needs of people living with the disease. For those who are unable to attend in-person, our keynote sessions will be available via livestream. Registration for the livestream option will open in July 2025.
