Copland’s iconic Appalachian Spring for 13 players pairs with Mendelssohn’s joyful string octet. Works by John Williams and DC’s Mary Howe round out this grand program. [26]


Sunday, December 7, 2025, 7:30 pm Catalyst Quartet

The Grammy Award-winning string quartet plays bold works by George Walker, Jessie Montgomery, and Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, and joins pianist Efi Hackmey in Brahms’s tour de force quintet. [27]


Sunday, January 25, 2026, 2:00pm Dreams and Dialogues

Celebrated clarinetist Ricardo Morales returns to the Chiarina stage with pianist Efi Hackmey in an intimate program of Poulenc, Brahms, Paquito d’Rivera, and Jacob Bancks. [25]


Sunday, March 15, 2026, 7:30pm Voices of Remembrance and Resilience

Merging sounds of oppression and hope, this thoughtfully curated program conveys human experience through the voices of female poets, four living composers, and two stalwart midcentury works.

Violinist and Avery Fisher Career Grant winner Njioma Grevious showcases lyricism and radiance as she joins Chiarina’s artistic directors in works by Prokofiev, Clarence Cameron White, and Mendelssohn. 


Sunday, May 17, 2026; 2:30pm Family Concert: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons

Violinist Audrey Wright takes center stage in this dazzling program for all ages that brings to life the captivating story of Vivaldi’s beloved “Four Seasons” concerti. Best enjoyed by audience members aged 5 and up.
