18th Annual Backpack Giveaway and Nonprofit Community Resource Fair
Denver, CO- The Silva Family Foundation Presents: The 1th Silva Family Foundation’s Annual Community School Supply Giveaway is August 1st, 2026 at Sloans Lake Park, 26th and Tennyson Street Entrance, and we aim to give out 5000 backpacks.
Rev. Dr. Jose Silva has stood steadfast in his commitment to stand in the educational gap for Colorado’s youth for over 32 years. The Silva Family Foundation was created from the societal barriers and challenges that Rev. Dr. Silva endured as a homeless youth and a survivor of gun violence in Denver, Colorado. The Silva Family Foundation has given out over 50,286 backpacks of school supplies in 17 years.
Details: August 1st, 2026 10am-2pm
*Child(ren) must be present, (1) backpack per student, no max on household*
