About this Event
187 Gallery – Holy Week Art Experience
Urban Missionary Project and friends are hosting a three-day creative gallery experience in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco during Holy Week (April 1–3, 2026).
“187” refers to the California penal code for M**der. In A.D. 33, Jesus of Nazareth was executed by the state. Through art, performance, and creative expression, this gallery revisits that story — inviting people to reflect on themes of betrayal, justice, sacrifice, and hope.
The experience will include creative workshops, art installations, live performances, spoken word, interactive mural painting, and a Good Friday communion and worship gathering.
Artists will interpret the final days leading to the crucifixion through visual art, music, fashion, and movement.
This is an open event — artists, skeptics, believers, and anyone curious about faith, culture, justice, or creativity are welcome. No background or belief required. Just come willing to engage.
