11th Elevate Akron Yoga Festival

Head to The University of Akron on July 20th from 3:00-9:00p.m. to CELEBRATE our 10th year and 11th signature  OUTDOOR Yoga Festival. Connect with nearly 2000 wellness-minded people, volunteers, local businesses, nonprofits, food trucks and artists at Coleman Commons in front of the Student Union. This community gathering promises the same outdoor FUN as in past years!

• Enjoy an all-levels outdoor 30 min. yoga class at 4PM led by Sam Grey
• Enjoy an all-levels outdoor yoga class at 7PM led by our Executive Director, Kevin James Karas M.A, E-RYT 500 and live music by the Elevate Akron Orchestra.
• Listen to live musical ensembles all night from the Elevate Akron Orchestra composed of  local musicians
• Grab a delicious bite to eat and a cool drink from local food trucks.
• Enjoy a refreshing beer at the Beer Garden
• Connect with the local community by enjoying fun activities with wellness-minded businesses, nonprofits, & shop artisan vendors.

A 10 Year Legacy of Accessible Yoga 

From its inception in 2015, Elevate Akron has been proud and honored to bring yoga and wellness practices to our own city and surrounding communities. For 10 incredible years, Elevate has established a legacy in Akron and the greater area as a champion of accessible yoga by offering a premier yoga festival each year, as well as offering continuing education resources for yoga teachers, community yoga classes and gatherings, workplace wellness programs, and more. We have been so grateful to be able to host 10 major festivals with nearly 18,000 people, and partnered with over 250 local businesses, artists, and organizations. As we approach our eleventh festival in our tenth year, we look forward to watching these numbers and this legacy grow. Coupled with our University of Akron partnership, hosting our major festival at the lovely Coleman Common this year, we are so fortunate to continue this tradition on July 20, 2024. We can’t wait to see YOU there!!!

3:45pm - Opening Message followed by 30 minute Yoga Class with Sam Grey

4:30-6:55pm - Play, Eat, Shop

7:00-8:30pm - All Levels Yoga Class by Kevin James Karas & Live Music by the Elevate Akron Orchestra.

Early Bird Tickets ($10) will be available May 1, 2024. Tickets ($25) and Bundles ($50) will be available for purchase when Early Bird tickets sell out. Tickets will NOT be sold at the gate.  You will have to buy tickets online (they will be on sale the day of the event unless sold out) and then show your QR code at the gate.

Elevate Akron has been proud to offer yoga and wellness practices for the last 10 years. From our premier festival to community yoga classes and continuing education support for local yoga teachers, we are grateful to support our community this way. We are supported by countless volunteer hours that bring our incredible festival and organization to life. Because of the support of our volunteer community members, we are able to offer tickets to the Elevate Akron Yoga Festival for a minimal charge to attendees. All-in-all, the value of a ticket to Elevate Akron is over $75 per person, but costs attendees only $25 after $10 Early Bird tickets sell out. Additionally, we are grateful to offer free tickets to anyone desiring to attend but limited by their financial situation. 

Making Yoga Accessible Donation Options

Thanks to the support of our sponsors, vendors, and attendees, we have been able to offer free and discounted tickets to our annual events for 10 amazing years. We are grateful to continue that legacy into 2024 and beyond! We recognize that many members of our community are passionate about our cause and may be interested in supporting our organization to ensure we can continue to do this work well into the future. If it is within your means, we have included an option to add an additional donation to your ticket to our 2024 festival. Should you choose, you may elect to add on a donation of $5, $10, $25, $50, or $75 to the cost of your $25 ticket (or $10 Early Bird ticket). 

Support the cause and purchase online or on event day while supplies last. Shirts purchased online are available for pick up on event day at the Elevate Akron Main Tent.

Bring your own water bottle or purchase one and refill at one of our water stations located at the Elevate Akron Main Tent or Healing tent.

Parking Information - Conveniently located off of RT 8 Buchtel exit, there are about 970 spots available in the East Parking Garage 191 Spicer Street, Akron, OH 44304. Your parking pass must be purchased prior to the event on EventBrite for $5 or recive free parking with the purchase of a bundle. Please try to carpool if able. Overflow parking will be available in lots 8 and 10 at $2.00 an hour, maxing out at $10. Payment due to The University of Akron.

Rules and Regulations - We will adhere to the most current safety protocols as promoted by the CDC, Governor, City of Akron and The University of Akron.

Don't forget, we know it will be a beautiful, hot summer day but the Elevate Akron Yoga Festival goes on Rain or Shine!
