102. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (New & Recert.) (all day)
This CERTIFICATE COURSE will run from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm with a 30 minute break.
This workshop will be held at Albert McMahon Elementary.
Facilitator: Lisa Clarke and Shane Sliziak, have been NVCI trainers in MPSD for several years. We are both principals at large elementary schools with diverse inclusive education programming.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Training prepares educators in MPSD to prevent and de-escalate medium to high-risk behaviour using non-restrictive methods. NCI training provides staff with the needed skills to recognize and safely respond to students in potential crisis.
