215. Teaching Morphology to Improve Literacy (am) “Parents Welcome”
Facilitator: Krysta is a Learning Support Teacher at ESR. This is their 9th year teaching. They are passionate about the science of reading and literacy! Claudia is the District Literacy Mentor (K-7). She has been a Learning Support Teacher in both the elementary and middle school level for many years in Mission.
This workshop will introduce the concept of morphology and how it helps with reading, spelling and vocabulary. Strategies for instruction and classroom activities will be shared. This workshop is recommended for classroom teachers in grades 2-6, student services staff and teachers with struggling readers in higher grades.
