You're invited to join us Sunday, December 15th at the Special Olympics Gym to socialize, play, and build a community for families who have a child between the ages of 0-12, with a disability or rare disease in the Sioux Falls area. This is a FREE event, no registration needed! Siblings welcome, guardian required.☃️This month we will be putting a festive holiday twist on the meetup! We will be making sensory tube snow globes. We will share an example as the date gets closer, but this should be an awesome craft!!!
We will be there from 2:30-4:30 pm and you are welcome to come and go as it works for your family during those hours. Refreshments will be available, and are made possible through the generous donations of our sponsor Resolve Legal.
The Special Olympics gym is a great space for kiddos of all ages and abilities to play while giving parents a chance to chat! There will be equipment out for the kiddos to play with, including mats with toys for babies and non-mobile kiddos and basketball for any big kids, older siblings or adults who want to shoot some hoops. We will have games and activities available at tables as well as throughout the gym.
The gym doors shut, making it a safe and contained space. The gym is the perfect place to test out any new mobility equipment, since it's spacious and flat, and you are welcome to bring your own items. We do ask that ride-on toys be left at home.
