What Is Humanity Hour?
For one hour, we put our phones away.
When you walk in, your phone goes into a basket in front of you.
Not taken away - just… kept aside.
No scrolling.
No notifications.
No distractions.
just all strangers sit in the same space and connect through human connection, not internet connection.
Why Are We Doing This?
We didn’t realize when life got this loud.
We’re always scrolling. Always replying. Always somewhere else…
even when we’re sitting right in front of someone.
This hour is different.
What Happens During the Hour?
• Sit with others (or by yourself - both are okay)
• You can sit and chit chat with someone new.
• You can read a book quietly.
• Play board games from our collection
• Or just sit quietly and breathe
Or honestly… just close your eyes and breathe for a bit.
No one’s watching. No one’s expecting anything.
You don’t have to talk.
You don’t have to be “on.”
