Swing out to the authentic big band sounds of the incomparable Peter Long and his Swing Orchestra, playing the music of Savoy Ballroom legends Chick Webb and Count Basie, in the beautiful period main hall at Laytmer Upper (King Street, Hammersmith).This event will be a tribute to Harlem's legendary Savoy Ballroom, "the home of happy feet", which opened its doors almost exactly 100 years ago, on 12th March 1926.
Organiser Martin Ellis has 20+ years' experience running London's "The Savoy Ball" - this event will be close to The Savoy Ball in intent, if not on quite such a grand scale.

All welcome - no dance experience needed!
Doors open at 8pm and we'll kick off with a short, fun, introductory swing dance class for those who'd like to learn a few steps. No dance experience or partner required.
From 9pm you can warm up your dancing feet with vintage recorded sounds from the 1930s and 40s, or grab a drink at Lulu's pop-up bar and soak up the atmosphere, before the band's first set at 9.20pm! The party continues until 12.30am.
Dress to impress please - vintage/retro style, or smart modern.
Tickets will be available early in 2026 - all standing (no seating) - although balcony passes will be available.
