Not classroom.
Not screens.
Not theory without practice.
This is learning through movement, responsibility and partnership — where children don’t just ride horses, they understand them.
Our Home Ed Fridays run from 2:00–4:00pm and are focused riding sessions designed for children who want to develop real skill, real confidence and real independence in the saddle — while also learning essential practical horsemanship.
We follow the ABRS Riding syllabus, meaning your child progresses through structured levels while building secure foundations and correct technique.
Think:
• Catching and bringing the horse in from the stable
• Turning out safely to the field
• Grooming properly and understanding daily care
• Tacking up correctly and adjusting stirrups & girth
• Handling the horse confidently from the ground
• Mounting and dismounting with balance
• Start, stop and steer independently
• Rising and sitting trot
• Understanding and riding correct diagonals
• Circles, poles and canter aids as they progress
• Small fences when ready
There is consistent time in the saddle and on the yard. Not rushed. Not overwhelming. Just steady, supported progression.
Because confidence doesn’t come from being told you’re capable.
It comes from knowing you can catch, tack, ride and untack — yourself.

These sessions are ideal for home-educated children who benefit from clear structure, progressive goals and practical outdoor learning in a calm, supportive setting. Certificates are awarded for each level achieved.
