The spring equinox is when witches plan the garden —
and when many people feel ready to begin again.
It’s the moment of balance between light and dark — when we pause before planting to decide what will be grown, what will be tended, and what will be shared in the coming season.
Roots & Renewal Faire was created to honor that threshold — so you can leave not just inspired, but equipped to start planting.
This is not a fast-paced market.
This is a gathering rooted in intention, preparation, and care.
🌿 What Roots & Renewal Faire Is
Roots & Renewal Faire is a plant-centered, community-rooted gathering guided by witchcraft traditions — and open to anyone who is curious.
You don’t need to be a witch.
You don’t need to already grow plants.
You don’t need prior experience.
If you want to go home with what you need to start — seeds, plants, knowledge, and confidence — you belong here.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll find:
-Plant growers, herbalists, seed keepers, mycologists and mushroom growers, and botanical educators
-People knowledgeable about pollinators and pollinator-friendly growing
-Education around soil health, mycelium, and regenerative growing
-Living plants and early garden starts you can take home
-Herbs, seeds, fungi, and plant allies chosen for the season
-Practical guidance shared in welcoming, accessible ways
-Time and space to ask questions and learn without pressure
Witchcraft here is grounded and lived-in — focused on real-world tending, not performance.
🌱 Growing Together: Plants, Fungi & Community
At the equinox, planting is both practical and symbolic.
We prepare soil.
We choose seeds.
We nurture unseen networks.
We decide what we have the capacity to tend.
Just as plants rely on pollinators and fungi to thrive, communities depend on connection, reciprocity, and care beneath the surface.
At Roots & Renewal Faire, you’ll find opportunities to:
-Choose plants and seeds that support pollinators and local ecosystems
-Learn how fungi and mycelium support soil, plants, and regeneration
-Begin or expand a garden that nourishes people and the land
-Understand how small, thoughtful choices create resilient systems
Whether you’re planting your first seed, inoculating your first log, or deepening an established practice, the goal is the same:
You leave ready to grow — responsibly and intentionally.
🌙 What Will Be Happening
Seed Exchange
Bring seeds if you have them. Take seeds if you don’t.
Swap, share, and leave with seeds meant for planting this season.
Seeds from your own garden — magical or otherwise — are especially welcome.
Seasonal Tending Sessions (leading up to the Faire)
Planty, garden-centered, gently witchy learning experiences focused on:
-planning what to plant now
-choosing plant and fungal allies
-growing with pollinators, soil health, and mycelium in mind
-preparing soil, containers, beds, and space
Community Seed Blessing (closing ritual)
We’ll close the Faire by blessing seeds together — for personal gardens and for collective care.
Participation is always optional; presence is always welcome.
🤝 Community Care in Action
Roots & Renewal Faire includes a community drive benefiting a local food-access and sustainability initiative.
Just as we make sure gardeners leave with what they need to grow, we’re being intentional about offering support in ways that are genuinely useful and responsible. More details soon.
🌿 Vendor & Participant Call
We are seeking 20 intentionally curated vendors who work in relationship with plants, fungi, and land.
This gathering welcomes:
🧙 Witches and herbal practitioners
🌿 Plant growers and seed keepers
🍄 Mycologists and mushroom growers
🐝 Pollinator advocates and educators
🪴 Botanical makers and regenerative practitioners
🧐 Anyone excited to help others leave ready to plant
✨ Vendors who offer hands-on experiences, demonstrations, or educational support — especially around pollinators, soil health, fungi, and regenerative growing — are a huge plus.
