Have you ever heard a song come on at a fusion party and thought “I have no idea how to dance to this?” You are not alone! We hear a lot of different types of music on the fusion dance floor. For most of us, some songs are within our comfort zone while others most definitely are not.
This is part of the magic of fusion dance – improvising to a song you’ve never heard before, often with a partner from a different dance style. It’s super fun, and it can also be challenging.
This weekend will expand your repertoire of partner dance technique in ways that will let you dance to a wider range of music. We will explore four themes that will draw upon tools from the wide world of partner dance to give us possibilities for dancing to different kinds of music.
If you are curious about fusion dancing, this weekend is also perfect for you. These workshops will give you tools to dance to different genres of music and with partners from different dance styles.
The amazing international fusion teacher Flouer Evelyn will take us on a musical journey. We will get groovy, we will get floaty, we will get into Latin rhythms, and we will get fancy with our feet travelling in close embrace.

🕺🎵 There should be something new for everyone. Our hope is that you will get a bunch of tools that let you feel more comfortable dancing to less familiar kinds of music.
🎉 At night, our DJs will weave rich, genre-crossing tapestries for us to explore everything we’ve learned.
🌈 THE THEMES
Lyrical Flow
Floating on a cushion of air, swaying and rolling in the wind, stretching, pulling, twisting and emoting. Feeling deeply to melodic, lyrical music.
Smooth Stepping
Cuddling up in close embrace, walking together with intricate footwork patterns. Not tango, not blues, not kizomba, but a graceful dance which can mix all three.
Latin Fusion
Fun and flair, add some spice to your fusion with a swing in your hips and some fancy footwork… we’re heading down to South America!
Groovy Baby
Grounded and funky, find your pulse, the life force flowing through you like a steady heartbeat. The echo of the drums in modern music will ricochet through your body as you find the earth beneath your feet.
💃 THE TEACHER
Flouer (pronounced “Flower”) is a partner dance instructor & Embodiment Coach from NYC, currently based in Turin, Italy.
She has been teaching Fusion since 2011, has an MFA in dance and a background teaching and performing Blues, Contemporary, Latin Ballroom, ballet, and ice skating. She has won plenty of partner dance competitions in various styles, and has performed & taught all over the globe.
All that fancy stuff is great, but what’s important is that in the classroom Flouer has a warm, encouraging personality. Flouer brings her fascination for how the different systems of partner dances fit together, offering simple ways to give structure and context to the concept of “free partner dancing”.
She is known for her values of artistry and personal expression, complimented by her ability to break down any movement into incredibly specific detail. Using imagery, anatomy, rhythm, cultural context and embodiment concepts, she will help you become the master of your own dance from the ground up.

ℹ️ Eight hours of classes & three nights of parties
ℹ️ Classes are open to anyone with some experience in at least one partner dance
ℹ️ You do not need to have a partner to sign up
🎟️ TICKETS AND PRICING
To make our events as financially accessible as possible, we always have a sliding scale pricing available. There are four categories:
"I can offer support": This lets us offer discounted tickets to other dancers.
Class pass: €120 (approx. 900 DKK)
Party Pass: €55 (approx. 400 DKK)
"I can only afford to dance" : This is the average amount we need people to pay to cover event costs.
Class pass: €100 (approx. 750 DKK)
Party Pass: €40 (approx. 300 DKK)
"I need support": This is our standard discounted ticket for those of you on lower incomes.
Class pass: €80 (approx. 600 DKK)
Party Pass: €25 (approx. 185 DKK)
Custom amount: If you’re broke AF or feeling flush, let us know! We will do our best to accept as many free and low-cost tickets as possible. Any extra support you would like to provide will be gratefully received.
