Join us for「 TO AUTUMN」an Ikenobo Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arrangement) exhibition presented by members of the Ikenobo California Pacific Chapter, New York Region.
Immerse yourself in the serenity and poetic beauty of autumn through the art of Ikenobo Ikebana — the origin of Japanese flower arrangement, celebrating harmony between nature and human spirit.

(Performances of guqin, dance, and flute will accompany the reception, creating a gentle welcome for our guests. Tea will also be served in a flowing chaji-style setting.)

This exhibition welcomes Professor Atsumasa Miura from Japan as the Guest Director, and is organized under the guidance of Professor Paula Tam. Together, they lead a group of arrangers from the New York region to express the serene and poetic beauty of autumn through the art of Ikenobo Ikebana - the origin of Japanese flower arrangement, celebrating harmony between nature and human spirit.
Through works in Rikka, Shoka, and Free Style, participants interpret the spirit of the season. The quiet transition, the warmth of light, and the depth of reflection that autumn brings.

本次展览特邀来自日本的三浦篤正教授担任指导,与Paula Tam教授共同带领纽约地区花道家们,以池坊花道的艺术语言,呈现秋季的宁静与丰盈之美。
展出作品涵盖立花、生花与自由花等形式,借花抒情,于自然与人心的交融中,体会季节的光影与节奏。

About the Professors:
Guest Professor: Atsumasa Miura (三浦篤正)
Professor Miura is an accomplished Ikenobo ikebana artist and educator based in Aichi, Japan. Trained in Kyoto since the age of eight, he has taught at theIkenobo Short-Term University, served as Ikenobo visiting professor to America and exhibited internationally, bringing contemporary sensibility to the classical art of Ikenobo Ikebana.
Professor:
Professor Paula Tam is an Ikenobo Ikebana professor based in New York, President of the Ikenobo California Pacific Chapter, and Ikebana Coordinator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. With over 30 years of experience, she continues to explore the harmony between life, nature, and ikebana.
About the performers:
Kevin Ge
Xiao (flute) performer, writer, and Assistant Professor of Ikenobo. Founder of 7s Art and vice president of the New York Guqin Association, he bridges traditional Chinese aesthetics with contemporary expression.
Kaidi Li
Dancer, director, and Ph.D. candidate at Shanghai Theater Academy and CUNY, performing internationally across stages from Lincoln Center to the Met Museum.
Yiting Liu
Guqin performer and visual artist based in New York, exploring harmony between sound, painting, and Eastern philosophy through her performances and art.
