THE WORKSHOP
Do you ever feel a little lost on the fusion dance floor? Do you want to try fusion but are unsure where to start? We've got you!
Fusion dance offers a lot of creative freedom—but how do you decide what to do next? How do you connect with your partner and the music? What do you do without a basic step?!
In this workshop, our wonderful teachers will guide you through four essential ways partner dancers connect*:
🔹 Groove – Moving with a shared pulse
🔹 Accordion – Expanding and contracting like a rubber band
🔹 Walking – Traveling together across the floor
🔹 Flow – Seamlessly blending movement
These modes are found across many partner dances. By understanding them, you’ll gain confidence, structure, and inspiration for your fusion dancing! Use it as a springboard to fuel your creativity on the dance floor.
No partner required—everyone is welcome!
This is an open level workshop.

The building has a sign for Naturfredningsforeningen outside. Please note that Google Maps sometimes sends you to the wrong side of the building.
The street door is always open. When you arrive, you can make your way to the second floor (there is an elevator).

We use a sliding scale for ticket prices at our events. Please pay what you can afford. If you have the spare cash the higher amount is especially helpful so that more events can be planned.

After the workshop, we will have a community dinner open to everybody. We will order vegan pizzas to share for all those who would like. You are also free to bring your own food with you and eat with us at the venue!
PLEASE NOTE: To join for pizzas, you must sign up by FRIDAY FEBRUARY 28 at 16H as we will preorder them.

What is fusion?
✨ Fusion gets its name from fusing different styles of partner dance. Dancers draw upon their techniques from Ballroom, Bachata, Blues, Forro, Kizomba, Lindy Hop, Salsa, Tango, West Coast Swing, Zouk, etc. to dance together to different kinds of music.
✨ It’s all about connecting to your partner and the music in the moment and seeing what happens.
✨It’s playful, it’s experimental. It’s really, really fun.
✨ It’s a lovely opportunity for us to bring different partner dance communities together under one roof.
* This workshop theme is inspired by the wonderful work of international fusion teacher Flouer Evelyn.
