Join us for this introduction to direct action and nonviolent peaceful protest. This will be a supportive and fun space to learn about nonviolence, engaging in effective protests, practicing skills like talking (or not talking!) to police, calming and grounding, de-escalation, and playing out your responses to different scenarios. This is not a lecture! It's engaging and interactive and it will be led by an experienced trainer. Suitable both for those totally new to, or experienced in nonviolent protest. These are essential skills for all of us who as we're living through climate and ecological breakdown and the rise of fascism.
