An open invitation is extended for the public to join Trees for Canterbury, to participate in a ‘planting event’, with the Travis Wetland Trust and the Regional Park Rangers of the Christchurch City Council. This public event is to be held on Saturday October 17th at Travis Wetland in Christchurch. We will be planting beside some older plantings. The best footwear on the day is gumboots as the site is very wet.
Location - Travis Wetland
Park at the main carpark.
Then 5 minute walk to the site.
Bring along family, friends and a spade.
Please bring gloves and wear gumboots if possible!
There will be a BBQ for volunteers after the event, and portable toilets on site.
