Trio pochodzące z Ostii pod Rzymem, aktywne od 1997 roku. Od początku działa na uboczu scen gatunkowych, budując własny język muzyczny na przecięciu noise’u, metalu, muzyki współczesnej i improwizowanej. Przez ponad 25 lat działalności zespół wydał ponad 15 albumów i zagrał tysiące koncertów na całym świecie, zdobywając kultowy status i opinię jednego z najbardziej bezkompromisowych projektów europejskiej sceny niezależnej.
Przez lata współpracowali z artystami o równie ekscentrycznej formule: od Mike’a Pattona (Carboniferous), przez Eugene’a Robinsona (Oxbow), po Davida Tibeta (Zu93), Damo Suzukiego (Can), FM Einheita (Einstürzende Neubauten) czy Romeo Castellucciego i jego Societas Raffaello Sanzio. Ich trylogia dla House of Mythology (Jhator, Zu93 – Mirror Emperor, Terminalia Amazonia) łączy eksperyment dźwiękowy z refleksją eschatologiczną.
W 2024 roku Zu powrócili z winylową reedycją swojego pierwszego materiału Bromio (1999) oraz demem z 1996 roku (The Lost Demo, Subsound Records). W tym samym roku rozpoczęli współpracę z japońską legendą noise rocka Ruins – jako RuinsZu – której efektem jest wspólna europejska trasa koncertowa i zapowiedź albumu live na 2025 rok.

Death Goals to queercore’owy duet z Wielkiej Brytanii, tworzony przez Harry’ego Baileya (wokal, gitara) i George’a Milnera (perkusja, wokal). Odważni, hałaśliwi i bezkompromisowi, w swojej twórczości konfrontują dźwięk z polityką, ekspresję z przemocą, a queerową wrażliwością. Ich estetyka rodzi się z napięcia między post-hardcore’em, screamo a noise rockiem, proponują autorkską definicję noise’u.

Teksty zespołu poruszają tematykę tożsamości queer, zdrowia psychicznego, traumy i oporu. Z jednej strony osobiste, z drugiej wspólnotowe. Ich występy to pełne intensywności performansy. Po wydaniu debiutanckiego albumu The Horrible and the Miserable (2021) duet podpisał kontrakt z kultową wytwórnią Prosthetic Records, a ich kolejna płyta A Garden Of Dead Flowers (2023) poszerzyła paletę dźwiękową o wpływy alternatywnego rocka i popowej ekspresji. To właśnie ta płyta uczyniła ich jednym z ważniejszych głosów współczesnej sceny queerowej w Wielkiej Brytanii.
Zespół intensywnie koncertuje, występowali m.in. na Roadburn (Holandia), Arctangent (Wielka Brytania) i Second Impact (Włochy), dzieląc scenę z artystami takimi jak EYES, Portrayal of Guilt czy Heck. Ich muzyka pojawiła się także w filmie krótkometrażowym We Collide, nagrodzonym w ramach BFI x BMW Filmmaking Challenge i zaprezentowanym podczas London Film Festival 2023.

Zespół z Sosnowca powstały w 2010 roku jako manifest przeciwko stylistycznej jednorodności black metalu. Od początku swojej ponad 15-letniej kariery zespół przedkładał atmosferę niepokoju, transu i niedopowiedzenia nad konwencjonalne ramy gatunkowe. Skład zespołu powiązany jest personalnie z takimi formacjami jak Furia, ARRM, Untervoid czy Larmo.
Stylistycznie Thaw porusza się w szerokim spektrum od noise’u, eksperymentalnego black metalu po całkowicie improwizowane kompozycje ambientowe. Przykładem tej różnorodności jest "St. Phenome Alley" – płyta składająca się z dwóch całkowicie improwizowanych utworów, nagranych jeszcze przed ich dobrze przyjętym drugim albumem "Earth Ground".
Thaw zdobył uznanie na międzynarodowej scenie, koncertując na prestiżowych festiwalach takich jak Roadburn w Holandii, Primavera Sound Festival w Barcelonie, Inferno w Norwegii, Brutal Assault, OFF Festival czy Katowicka Metalmania. Zespół odbył europejskie trasy z Bolzer i Behemoth oraz dzielił scenę z takimi grupami jak Godflesh i Boris. Prasa i fani ekstremy w ambitnym wydaniu nie szczędzili im komplementów za innowacyjne podejście do gatunku.
Po siedmioletniej przerwie wydawniczej sosnowiecka formacja wróciła do żywych w ubiegłym roku albumem "Fading Backwards", potwierdzając swoją pozycję jako jedna z najbardziej nieprzewidywalnych i eksperymentalnych grup polskiej sceny metalowej.

Zu is a trio from Ostia, near Rome, active since 1997. From the outset, they have operated on the fringes of genre scenes, developing their own musical language at the intersection of noise, metal, contemporary and improvised music. Over more than 25 years of activity, the band has released over 15 albums and played thousands of concerts around the world, gaining cult status and a reputation as one of the most uncompromising projects on the European independent scene.
Their music blends elements of metal, industrial, electronics, ambient and prog rock. As Pitchfork wrote: “Given the ability to absorb and incorporate an exhilarating variety of musical styles into their material, it is not surprising that Zu often sounds like a hundred bands in one — although the way they piece together their wild sonic jigsaw is unique to them alone.”
Over the years, they have collaborated with equally genre-defying artists: from Mike Patton (Carboniferous) and Eugene Robinson (Oxbow), to David Tibet (Zu93), Damo Suzuki (Can), FM Einheit (Einstürzende Neubauten), and Romeo Castellucci with his Societas Raffaello Sanzio. Their trilogy for House of Mythology (Jhator, Zu93 – Mirror Emperor, Terminalia Amazonia) merges sonic experimentation with eschatological reflection.
In 2024, Zu returned with a vinyl reissue of their first release Bromio (1999) and their 1996 demo The Lost Demo(Subsound Records). That same year, they began a collaboration with the legendary Japanese noise rock band Ruins — as RuinsZu — resulting in a joint European tour and the announcement of a live album to be released in 2025.

Death Goals are a queercore duo from the UK, formed by Harry Bailey (vocals, guitar) and George Milner (drums, vocals). Bold, noisy, and uncompromising, their work confronts sound with politics, expression with violence, and queer sensitivity with systemic resistance. Their sonic aesthetic emerges from the tension between post-hardcore, screamo, and noise rock—offering their own radical definition of noise.

Their lyrics explore queer identity, mental health, trauma, and resistance—at once deeply personal and fiercely collective. On stage, they deliver raw, high-intensity performances that blur the line between catharsis and confrontation.
After releasing their debut album The Horrible and the Miserable (2021), the duo signed with the iconic label Prosthetic Records. Their follow-up, A Garden Of Dead Flowers (2023), expanded their sound palette to include elements of alternative rock and pop expressiveness. The record cemented their place as one of the defining voices of the contemporary UK queercore scene.
Known for relentless touring, Death Goals have played festivals such as Roadburn (Netherlands), Arctangent (UK), and Second Impact (Italy), sharing stages with acts like EYES, Portrayal of Guilt, and Heck. Their music also featured in the short film We Collide, which won the BFI x BMW Filmmaking Challenge and was screened at the 2023 London Film Festival.

Band from Sosnowiec formed in 2010 as a manifesto against the stylistic uniformity of black metal. From the beginning of their career spanning over 15 years, the group has prioritized atmospheres of anxiety, trance and understatement over conventional genre frameworks. The band's lineup is personally connected to such formations as Furia, ARRM, Untervoid and Larmo.
Thaw debuted with a series of demos and splits, releasing their full-length album "Thaw" in 2013. From the start, the group challenged the notion that black metal should be stylistically limited, exploring territories of ambient, improvisation and drone. Their approach to music is characterized by "disarming discomfort" while maintaining accessibility and an intriguing sonic layer.
Stylistically, Thaw moves across a wide spectrum from noisy, experimental black metal to completely improvised ambient compositions. An example of this diversity is "St. Phenome Alley" - a tape consisting of two completely improvised tracks, recorded even before their well-received second album "Earth Ground." Despite being widely regarded as a black metal band, their escapades into ambient and drone territories never feel forced.
Thaw gained recognition on the international scene, performing at prestigious festivals such as Roadburn in Holland, Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, Inferno in Norway, Brutal Assault, OFF Festival and Katowicka Metalmania. The band embarked on European tours with Bolzer and Behemoth and shared stages with groups like Godflesh and Boris. Press and fans of ambitious extreme music have not spared them compliments for their innovative approach to the genre.
After a seven-year recording hiatus, the Sosnowiec formation returned to life last year with the album "Fading Backwards," confirming their position as one of the most unpredictable and experimental groups on the Polish metal scene.
