About this Event
Get creative this World Ocean Week and join us for a zine-making workshop at Glasgow Zine Library!
We’ll start off the session with a short talk all about Scotland’s seas – what makes them so amazing, the issues they are facing and the ways we can take action to protect them. We’ll then get straight into making some ocean-inspired zines. All materials will be provided including some magazines for collaging. Just bring your creativity!
Wondering what zines are? You can find out more about them and the work of the Glasgow Zine Library here. Check out the accessibility guide to the venue here.
Date: Tuesday 9th June 2026
Time: 18:00-20:00
Open to everyone. Spaces are limited at the venue so please register to secure your place! For any questions, please get in touch with Rebecca at [email protected].
World Ocean Week 2026
This year, the Marine Conservation Society are celebrating World Ocean Day (8th June) for a whole week!
With the UK’s Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) launching in 2027, we’ll be focusing on drinks-related pollution throughout the week to shine a spotlight on collective action and prove why DRS is so necessary.
