About this Event
This interactive session will explore different types of racism, unconscious bias, and the impact of stereotypes and labels in the workplace. We will focus on how these barriers particularly affect racially minoritised and Muslim women within housing and community-focused organisations.
Using real world examples and reflective discussion, the session will support participants to recognise bias, understand its impact on colleagues and service users, and identify practical ways to challenge discrimination constructively.
We aim to create a reflective and respectful space where participants can engage openly, ask questions, and learn from one another.
The session will also introduce practical action points to help your organisation respond effectively to concerns, strengthen inclusive practice, and work towards a fairer, more supportive workplace for everyone. You’ll leave with tools you can apply in your role straight away.
This session is suitable for those new to EDI, as well as those looking to refresh and deepen their understanding.
Please note this event is only open to those working or volunteering at a Glasgow based housing organisation.
