Zero Waste Salem (formerly SalemRecycles) hosts a Repair Café on Saturday, May 16 from 9:00-noon at the Community Life Center at 401 Bridge St. Appointments are required.SCHEDULE an appointment at https://forms.gle/V66gPuubnokw9owp8 or email [email protected].
REPAIR volunteers will be available to mend clothing, darn socks, tinker with electronic & mechanical devices, and evaluate computers / office technology (services may change as we confirm volunteers). We hope to see you at this fun event where you can learn how to fix things and reduce your waste!
WORKSHOP! The May Repair Cafe also features a one-hour hand sewing workshop for beginners interested in learning simple skills like threading needles, basic stitches, and sewing on buttons. Please indicate your interest in the workshop using the registration form linked above. Space is limited.
