Join us in York for a unique relaxation session with Sonic Spa. Pop one of our headsets on, get comfy and let our zen garden sound bath bring some soothing rejuvenation your way.
Never been to a sound bath before? No problem! We create a live sound immersion, ‘bathing’ you in calming music and sound designed to bring you deep relaxation, using a variety of instruments while you lay or sit comfortably.
Expect twinkly wind chimes, ethereal vocals, beautiful flute, soft dream drums, ambient bass and percussion, accompanied by the tranquil sounds of a trickling stream and birdsong. We follow this with a grounding gong bath.
Certain instruments are able to induce theta brainwaves, gongs included. In this state our body is deeply relaxed, lowering blood pressure, calming stress and supportive of healing on a cellular level. During a Sonic Spa session you’ll receive the health benefits AND an enhanced experience, the privacy of a personal sonic cocoon created by radio headset, so you can fall deeper in to relaxation with less distraction. We finish with free tea and cake too! Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary requirements and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Bring something comfy to lay or sit on, a pillow and a blanket.
Toilets ad private parking are available at the venue.
Please arrive in time as we close the doors at 6:30pm to preserve the peace of our attendees.
Disclaimer: We use radio transmission equipment which may not be suitable for people with older pacemaker models. The deep vibrations of the gong are very powerful, trauma stored in the body may be activated for some. May not be suitable during pregnancy. Slowly adjust the volume of your headphones to a level that is comfortable for you, we set them at zero as to avoid any damage.
