About this Event

We’re delighted to welcome both members and non-members to join us for our Annual Meeting — an opportunity to come together as a professional community, reflect on the past year, and look ahead to what’s next.

During the evening, we’ll share insights into the impact and activity of the CIPD Branch in North Yorkshire throughout the 2025/2026 season, celebrating progress while setting the direction for the future.

We’re then proud to be joined by David D’Souza, Director of Profession at CIPD, who will deliver our keynote session: “An AI-Enabled Profession.”

This topic goes right to the heart of how we evolve, adapt and lead as people professionals in a rapidly changing world. Expect a thought-provoking and highly relevant session, full of insight and challenge — one that will stay with you long after the event.

This is more than an annual meeting — it’s a chance to connect, reflect and be inspired.

This is a Hybrid event, tickets are limited for in-person but will also be available for online attendance.

Speakers bio:

David joined the CIPD, the professional body HR and people development, in 2014. David is responsible for ensuring the CIPD continually improves in delivering it's role in supporting and leading the profession.

Prior to joining the CIPD, David has held roles across a range of financial services and retail organisations before working as an independent consultant.

David is a respected and in demand speaker and writer on progressive HR and business practice, with his commentary regularly featuring in national media. He has expertise in a wide range of areas, including organisational development and culture, learning and development, corporate ethics and the impact of technology on work and skills.

David is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, a Fellow of AHRI (the Australian HR Institute), a Fellow of the Centre For Evidence Based Management and a Fellow and Trustee Board member of the Royal Society of Arts.

This is a hybrid event being held both in-person and online.

Tickets for attending in-person are limited to first come first served.
