About this Event
Details
Calling all green tech enthusiasts! Join us in Hoxton Square from 6PM for the next instalment of our ‘Zebra talks Tech’ series, where we’ll be continuing to delve deeper into green and climate focussed technology from a leadership perspective.
Daniel Vaughan, a member of the Green Software Foundation, and Henry Franks, CTO at Climate Policy Radar will be joining us for an evening of talks, Q&As and networking.
Get ready for an evening full of insightful discussion, friendly conversation and classically – pizza and drinks! This event will be held in our office at 6 Hoxton Square, N1 6NU. Please note the venue is only accessible via stairs.
The Speakers
As well as being a long standing member of the Green Software Foundation (check them out here), Daniel is a Director of Software Engineering at Mastercard. Here he leads cloud transformation initiatives for real-time payments, enabling product architecture for Mastercard cloud-native environments and upskilling teams in cloud-native best practices.
He's going to be talking about the Green Software Foundation in more depth and how they are building a trusted ecosystem of people, standards, tooling and best practices for green software. He’ll look to explain how they’ve been adopting some of these practices at Mastercard, before taking questions from the audience.
Henry is Chief Technology Officer at Climate Policy Radar, leading on strategy and R&D for democratising access to knowledge buried in lengthy, technical climate law and policy documents. Climate Policy Radar is building the first open climate law and policy knowledge graph to support evidence-based policy making in the transition to a just, resilient, and low-carbon world. He'll talk about Climate Policy Radar's approach in depth, including how they adopt LLMs internally and as part of their product portfolio, their approach to responsible AI in high-stakes social impact domains, and how to keep ahead of the AI curve in a rapidly changing environment.
About Zebra talks Tech
We like to keep the events relatively small and focussed on leaders in the tech space – be it Founders, CTOs or Engineering Managers. Previous attendees have described it as a safe space to discuss blockers in their business with like minded people.
We’ll normally have two keynote speakers with time for a Q&A session after each talk. There’s also time before, in between and after the talks for attendees to network and talk through common issues (and perhaps find solutions!) they’re having in the green space.
Notice for Recruitment Agencies
This meetup is designed for professionals within the technology space to connect and share insights.
Unfortunately, we wont be unable to accommodate recruitment agents representing agencies or competitor companies to Zebra People. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we aim to create a focused environment for our target audience.
