Zakka Workshop Class – Clasp Purses

Each month we will have a different class using the patterns and kits from Zakka Workshop! It will be the third Sunday afternoon each month. Each month will feature a different pattern and hardware to help build your sewing skills!

This class will be working from a book – THE PURSE CLASP BOOK – and we will make TWO of the 14 patterns in the book. These purses use a glue-in style metal clasp. The Mod Coin Purse (shown at the top) is 4½” x 4½” and The Square Pouch (shown at the bottom) is 4½” x 5”.

The fee includes the class AND the book (pattern and hardware)! All you need to supply is the fabrics you want to use to make them!

Limited quantities of extra hardware will be available to purchase in class.

Items needed:

• Mod Coin Purse – Outside Fabric – One fat eighth (22″ x 9″) of cotton/linen canvas fabric – NOT too heavy of canvas…but can be just regular quilt weight cotton
• Mod Coin Purse – Lining Fabric – One fat eighth (22″ x 9″) of cotton fabric
• Square Pouch – Outside Fabric – Two fat eighths (22″ x 9″) of cotton fabric
• Square Pouch – Lining Fabric – One fat eighth (22″ x 9″) of cotton fabric
• Fusible Fleece – 12” x 12″
