Standard Edison format with the Prohibition Rule."For those that don't know, our Devmania series is a series of one-off tournaments with special features that aim shake up established formats and bring something new and different to the table.
Today we're introducing the next Devmania twist: the Prohibition Rule!
The Prohibition Rule turns everything you think you know about a format upside down and puts your deckbuilding creativity to the test. For example, in Edison format, what happens to top decks like Frogs and Vayu when their most crucial cards can be taken out of the game right from the start? What wild creation can you cook up to take the format by surprise?"
- What is the Prohibition Rule?
Before each game begins, the player who is going first names a card.
Both players remove all copies of that card from their main, side, and extra decks for the remainder of the match.
The player who is going second names another card and the process is repeated.
Players may begin a game with fewer than forty cards in their main decks if enough cards were removed.
