Join Emma, perfumery student and fragrance content creator behind @Perfumerism, and Marisa Auciello, Commodity’s in-house fragrance expert, for a special Scent Session exploring the creamy, addictive world of milky fragrances.
Centered around Commodity’s newly launched Milk Orchid Expressive, this interactive experience unpacks what “milky” really means in fragrance. Together, we’ll explore how lactonic notes are defined, and how they evoke distinct feelings, textures, and memories.
Guests will be guided through 6 milky notes and accords—including ones found in Milk Orchid Expressive and beyond—to discover how “milkiness” is created in fragrance, without dairy-derived materials. Along the way, we’ll explore how these notes interact with florals, how they translate as texture, and highlight key lactonic ingredients Emma is currently studying in her perfumery practice.
During this Scent Session, you will:

- Experience scent through both smell and texture, connecting notes to physical and emotional sensations
- Discover half a dozen key lactonic notes and raw materials that create a milky impression
