About this Event
The Youth Violence Prevention Symposium is a one-day event aimed at uplifting and supporting youth violence prevention strategies developed by young people and facilitated by collaborations between various sectors, including community organizations, academia, healthcare, and government.
This event creates a unique platform where those working to implement violence reduction programs can hear directly from the voices that matter most: the youth themselves. By uplifting these perspectives, we ensure that violence prevention strategies are not only informed by data but are also shaped by the lived experiences, insights, and innovative solutions of young people. This collaborative approach fosters more effective, community-driven outcomes and strengthens the collective effort to build safer, healthier communities.
