About this Event
Are you a housing stakeholder such as a developer, aspiring developer, housing authority, real estate professional, financial institution, philanthropic organization, or government entity?
Please join us on September 20th from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM as HUD’s Georgia Field Office will be hosting a Developers of Color Summit, in partnership with the City of Atlanta and Atlanta Housing, at Atlanta City Hall, 77 Trinity Ave. SW, Atlanta, GA 30303.
This groundbreaking summit aims to address and rectify longstanding systemic barriers that have disproportionately affected Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities in Atlanta’s housing and real estate development industries. The Developers of Color Summit will bring together housing stakeholders, private lenders, philanthropic partners, and developers in Atlanta, its surrounding communities, and beyond. This event will shed light on persistent inequities, celebrate successful BIPOC businesspeople and their projects, facilitate access to federal, state, and local resources, and promote networking and capacity-building opportunities through informative panels and working sessions.
The panel topics will include:
- Private Financing Resources for Residential and Commercial Development
- Federal, State & Local Subsidies for Mixed Income & Mixed-Use Housing Development
- Promoting Inclusion in Real Estate Development through Public Policy
- Foundations of Mixed-Income Development | Case Studies & Capital Stack
- Developers Developing Developers
