Description
This class will focus on creativity and self-expression while learning key ceramic techniques. Students will have the opportunity to create a small coil turtle and learn about local wildlife!
During this short one session class, students will learn about turtles and their anatomy. Students will learn how to shape coiled clay into a turtle shell and then use hand building techniques to add fins to their turtle. Once the base is made, students will have fun using studio tools to texture their turtles!
Please note that all pieces will be ready for pick up 3-4 weeks after the end of class. An email will be sent to students when their artwork is ready.
About the instructor:
Amber Flores is a former elementary school art teacher turned restaurant owner. She is passionate about all forms of art and expressions of creativity, and her classes are intended to be fun and informative, while giving students a safe and friendly place to explore their creative side!
