The Buc Days Horticulture Competition, sponsored by Texas Farm Bureau, is an engaging and educational event that highlights the art and science of plant cultivation.With $3,000 in total prize money, participants will grow and care for plants such as herbs, vegetables, succulents, or flowering plants over several months.
Students will document their progress through photos and reports before bringing their live plants to the Buc Days Festival Grounds on May 8th,followed by judging and an award ceremony on May 9th.
This competition encourages creativity, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of horticulture. All while having fun and celebrating hard work!
