About this Event
Conversations for Change invites business leaders, changemakers, and community members to come together in shaping a movement for more inclusive, compassionate, and connected workplaces across the York and North Yorkshire region.
This event celebrates the achievements of organisations who have participated in the Conversations for Change programme, investing in training and development to build healthier, values-driven cultures that make a tangible difference to the lives of their teams and communities. Through shared reflection, and collaborative dialogue, we will explore how lasting impact can be achieved and how small steps taken collectively can drive meaningful change.
The session blends celebration and co-creation, exploring key themes as outcomes of the Conversations for Change programme – such as from telling/fixing to facilitating thinking; recognising listening, silence and pace as core practice and developing people rather than performance. Together, we will share insights as well as shape a policy wish list and collaborative toolkit, designed by the region for the region.
Conversations for Change is not just a one-time event; it marks the beginning of a lasting movement that unites businesses throughout the region committed to building healthy and inclusive workplace cultures. Come join us to celebrate, connect, reflect, and help shape our shared priorities, effective strategies, and measures of success for creating more inclusive workplaces across the region.

Our staff / students / SU colleagues are entitled to express their ideas and views, providing they do not violate the law. The law rightly prohibits speech that incites violence, terrorism and hate, but does not prohibit speech that others may find upsetting or offensive.
