About this Event
Roots Community Health invites you to a powerful reproductive and sexual health experience centered on education, restoration, and sisterhood. Yoni Is Her Name is a sacred space created especially for African American and African women to reconnect with their bodies, understand their hormones, and embrace healing through both traditional practices and modern health education.
Join trusted health experts and cultural wellness practitioners as we explore holistic approaches to hormonal balance, reproductive health, and overall well-being. Through open conversation, guided learning, interactive demonstrations, and community connection, this event honors the wisdom of our ancestors while equipping women with the knowledge and tools to advocate for their health today.
Come ready to learn, heal, and harmonize — because your body deserves care that sees, hears, and honors you.
In collaboration with the County of Santa Clara Perinatal Equity Initiative (PEI), the Women of Wellness (WOW) program supports women ages 18–48 by promoting healthy lifestyles through physical, nutrition, and mental wellness while working to reduce barriers, implicit bias, and disparities that impact reproductive health and birth outcomes.
