About this Event
We leave London early and travel to the South Downs National Park, where the iconic Seven Sisters cliffs rise dramatically above the English Channel. From there, we follow the winding Cuckmere River towards the sea before climbing onto the rolling chalk cliffs that form one of Britain’s most breathtaking coastal walks.
The route takes us along the famous Seven Sisters ridge towards Beachy Head, with sweeping views across the coastline the entire way. Expect big skies, fresh sea air, and the quiet satisfaction that comes from covering ground together in nature.
This is not just a hike – it’s a chance to step away from the pace of everyday life, reconnect with the outdoors, and spend a day with good people in an extraordinary place.
The Plan
06:00 – Meet in London
Group meeting point near Waterloo. Full details shared with ticket holders before the event.
06:30 – Depart London
Private minivan transport to the South Downs National Park.
Morning – Begin the hike
Starting at Seven Sisters Country Park, we follow the Cuckmere River towards Cuckmere Haven before reaching the coast.
Midday – The Seven Sisters cliffs
Rolling climbs across the chalk ridge with spectacular views across the English Channel.
Halfway stop – Birling Gap
Coffee, snack and toilet break.
Afternoon – Beachy Head to Eastbourne
We complete the final stretch towards Eastbourne Pier, finishing one of the UK’s most iconic coastal walks.
Optional sea dip
For those feeling brave, there may be an opportunity for a quick swim.
Late afternoon – Lunch together
A celebratory meal at one of our favourite local spots.
Return to London
We arrive back in Waterloo in the early evening, around 18:30–19:00.
