Join us for this dreamy 3 hour Mini-Retreat combining Movement, Yoga Nidra and Creative Expression to connect with the potential of dreaming and imagination.
The intention of this retreat is to move, rest deeply, get creative and experience a beautiful community atmosphere. All of these things together offer presence, where it’s possible to destress, slow down and enjoy a feeling of homecoming within yourself.

We will
- begin with a Holistic Yoga Flow guided by Julia, where we will move through a gentle grounding flow that focuses on conscious movement to get out of the head and into the body. All levels welcome. This practice prepares the whole body to surrender into stillness.
- practice Yoga Nidra guided by Mary. Yoga Nidra is a guided stillness practice, a holistic way of resting all the layers (Koshas) of the body. Yoga Nidra brings one into a liminal space between sleep and wakefulness teaming with creative potential where you can experience dreaming.
- get creative! Enjoy a full hour of free flow intuitive creativity. Any form of individual creative expression is welcome. No art experience necessary, just a willingness to let go and take your inner experience on the outside in a piece of Art.
- have a sharing circle. One of the key theoretical assumptions in art therapy is that artwork can express the inner world of oneself. Through our artistic experiences we can find excess to explore dreams and imagination, to make associations, revisit or connect to emotions and discover new things about ourselves. This circle is about open hearted listening and sharing.
- Eat! Everything tastes better after Yoga, especially in community! We invite you to an optional social Potluck Dinner until 21:00.
Practicalities
- arrive fashionably early 16:00 to 16:15 to set up your space
- yoga mats and props provided
- Art materials provided, you’re also welcome to bring them
- tea, fruit and snacks provided
- bring a dish to share for the fællespsining if you participate
- DoYoga has changing rooms, lockers and toilets
Your Facilitators
About Mary
Mary is a Yoga Instructor, Yoga Nidra guide, a student of Art therapy and knows the potential of both Yoga and Art expression to bring one into the present moment, the beautiful Now. Her jam is Yoga Nidra, a practice often described as the meditative heart of Yoga. Currently in her last year of her Art therapy psychotherapy education, her approach is soft and creative. The area of focus for her final exam is how sleep and dreaming can support the healing process.
About Julia
Julia is a holistic yoga instructor teaching regular classes in Folkehuset Absalon. She has a bachelor in social education with a focus on aesthetic education. She always followed her interests to professionally combine her passion for creativity, art and pedagogy. This focus led her to the management of a Children's Art Gallery before she moved to Copenhagen. Here in Copenhagen Julia is currently also working as a well-being, motor skills and creativity pedagogue. With this workshop she wants to support you in connecting to your authentic creativity and your dream landscape.
