Spend a gentle afternoon moving, creating and slowing down, surrounded by nature. Join us for a relaxed workshop combining yoga, watercolour painting and a shared lunch at The Old Chapel Studio in Brockholes. We’ll begin with a gentle flowing yoga practice, designed to wake up the body and settle the mind. The movement will gradually soften into restorative poses and a long savasana, leaving you feeling calm, grounded and ready to move into the creative part of the day.
After yoga, Emma will guide two nature-inspired watercolour sessions. The first will take place in the garden (weather permitting), where you’ll explore playful and expressive techniques inspired by the natural surroundings. The second session will continue in the studio, giving you time to develop your ideas in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Emma’s approach to watercolour is playful and encouraging. You don’t need any painting experience or artistic skill to take part — just curiosity and a willingness to experiment. In the middle of the afternoon we’ll pause for a rustic vegetarian grazing lunch, shared around the table.
We’ll finish the workshop with a guided relaxation, giving your body and mind time to fully unwind before heading home. This workshop is open to everyone, including complete beginners to both yoga and painting.
What’s included • Gentle flowing yoga practice with restorative poses and savasana • Two guided watercolour sessions with Emma Weekes • All art materials provided • Rustic vegetarian grazing lunch • Guided relaxation to close the day.
If the weather isn’t kind to us, both painting sessions will simply take place inside the studio.
