Yoga for Psychological Wellbeing with a Person-Centred Perspective
This is a 7 hour CPD training for anyone who has an interest in the psychological benefits of Yoga.
The course is suitable for anyone with this interest but perhaps, especially relevant to Yogas teachers, counsellors, Psychotherapists and anyone working in the field of mental health or supporting individuals
The course will look at what Yoga is, explore the various aspects of what a yoga practice can be as well as how these can relate to our psychological wellbeing
We will take a deep dive into Yoga philosophy as well as looking at some more modern research into the benefits of yoga as an intervention for common mental health issues
We will explore some theory from the field of Person-Centred Psychotherapy and relate this to yoga practice.
Ross will offer his reflections and perspectives on all of these areas from his experience as a Practicing therapist as well as a lifelong yoga student.
We will complete the day by Ross leading us through a traditional Hatha style yoga practice, a short meditation practice and a Yoga Nidra.
There will be tine for interactive participation, this will be a welcoming and open dialogue style of learning within which participants will be encouraged to ask questions as a way of enhancing their own and their fellow participants learning experience
