This ritual is the second portion of Sacred Anatomies Series - a recent and ongoing expansion of the Yuja Soul teaching and practice methodology.
Imagine a world you don’t have to rest from. Now imagine yourself as one of the stewards of that new world.
Based on Freedom Dreaming, the practice of Black radical imagination coined by Robin D.G. Kelly, this ritual invites us to visualize the shifts to the baseline world that we desire, and to leverage the topography and innate workings of the body to support action and imagination.
Movement will be focused on the deep back and front lines of the core and the spiral line named in the theory of the Anatomy Trains of muscle and fascia. We will engage with these lines mindfully through twists and core strength to tap into our ability to perceive, consume, digest and release what is no longer serving. Backbends will offer restoration and space before quieting down into savasana.
