About Colèchi

Colèchi, founded by sisters Piarvé and Tina Wetshi, is a research and educational platform that centers humanity, community, and collaboration within the fashion industry. Colèchi’s Clean Fashion manifesto guides their work towards building a transparent and collaborative industry by recongising the four key areas of the supply chain: sourcing, making, media, and afterlife. Through this framework, Colèchi promotes sustainable fashion systems rooted in people, culture, and sustainability.

YKWU is a Colèchi initiative that explores the social, cultural, and emotional aspects of making and crafting together. Launched in 2022 as inclusive, intergenerational knitting workshops, YKWU aims to challenge traditional fashion experiences. YKWU has evolved into a community of Colèchi knitwear designers researching natural fibres and new materials to develop collaborative and circular systems.
