Revisiting the fundamentals of Yin yoga is not only for new students, but also for those who have had a dedicated practice for years to refresh and fine-tune. Unwind and restore in our Foundation Yin Yoga class, where the focus is on deep relaxation and full-body stretching. This class will break down a Yin-style yoga class with ample time to explore alignment and use of props. Expect to hold a series of traditional Yin postures for 3–5 minutes to allow the body to release tension, increase flexibility, and enhance joint mobility. The class is designed to cultivate mindfulness, offering a peaceful space to slow down, tune in, and create space within the body. Yin Yoga is ideal for anyone seeking to balance a more active lifestyle, relieve stress, or deepen their yoga practice with a focus on long-term flexibility and mindfulness. Expect a serene atmosphere, soothing breath work, and a deep sense of mental and physical restoration. All levels welcome.
Meet your Instructor: Lara Mccormick
Lara’s journey with yoga began in 2000, and after experiencing its transformative effects on both body and mind, she was hooked. In 2019 she resigned from a stressful job and traveled to Bali for a month to embark on her path to become a Yoga instructor, completing her 200hr training at Radiantly Alive Yoga. She has completed additional training in Restorative, Yin, and Yoga Nidra. Lara’s happy place is sharing the practice that has brought her strength, health, and peace while helping others discover their own path to wellness. In Lara's classes, flowing postures are mindfully linked through breath, with thoughtful sequencing and alignment cues that allow students to safely explore their boundaries.
