YEAH LOVE! BODY LOVE!
HAPPY NUDE YEAR! We're back, with another gorgeous collaborative workshop to welcome in 2025 in community, and with care and celebration for our incredible bodies!
Yeah Love Body Love is a bumper special edition workshop, led by life drawing and body positivity enthusiasts, Rosy, from , and empowerment guide,
Alis will lead us through a sensual and joyful, body-loving gentle yoga and movement practice with an awesome soundtrack. You are welcome to join naked, in your underwear, in something sensual, or just comfy clothes whatever feels comfortable to you. This body-loving journey will get us feeling grounded, playful, joyful and feeling brave in our bodies, the perfect preparation for Body Love Sketch Club. This practice is suitable for everyone, experienced yogis and absolute beginners alike. You are welcome to join from the mat or a chair.
Body Love Sketch Club is a life drawing class with a twist... Since 2016, we have been running workshops in which you can pose as well as draw Body Love Sketch Club is a life drawing class with a twist, in which you can pose as well as draw (fully nude, fully clothed, or anywhere in between!), whilst we explore ways of accepting ourselves more unconditionally, and expressing ourselves more freely. Our workshops are an artistic adventure in body positivity and creative empowerment, a joyful and tender tonic to feeling disconnected from each other and ourselves, a celebration of bodies in all their (optionally naked) glory, and a place for creative play without shame or judgment.
No experience necessary! All bodies, shapes, abilities, genders, ages and confidence levels are welcome.
VENUE...
This is an in-person class in London, 1345-1700 at YogaRise, Bussey Building, 133 Copeland Rd, London SE15 3SN.
ACCESSIBILITY...
There is a lift at the venue. There are toilets/showers/changing rooms and a cafe/common area that people can relax and chat before/after. Chairs are available throughout. Please get in touch with us if you'd like to discuss any access requirements.
WHAT TO BRING...
- Mats are available to hire for £2 from the studio, but you are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer. If borrowing a mat, please bring a towel or blanket to cover for hygiene.
-Yoga props are available to borrow, free of charge
- A towel/ blanket/ robe, and whatever you feel comfortable wearing. We will not be disturbed within the yoga space, but please be aware that the toilets and hallway outside the yoga space is communal with the cafe and you must be covered between spaces. Thankyou! ❤
- A water bottle.
TICKETS...
£25, including drawing materials (but you're welcome to bring along your favourite things to draw with too).
Whilst we welcome all genders to our events, our priority is holding spaces that feel welcoming and supportive to women and queer folks, who can often experience marginalisation in nude-positive spaces, and organise our ticket allocations accordingly. Please reach out if you have any questions on this.
We are founded on a principle of inclusivity and have a NOTAFLOF policy (no one turned away for lack of funds). If our ticket price is prohibitive to you, please contact us prior to the event on [email protected].
REFUNDS...
You can apply for a refund through eventbrite up 72 hours ahead of the event. Please apply for refunds through eventbrite (not by emailing or messaging us directly).
Please note, if you apply later than this, we will not be able to refund or exchange your ticket.
THE GOLDEN RULE...
We have one main rule and it's 'be f*cking lovely!' This means that inclusivity, safety, respect, confidentiality, and consent are fundamental principles of the session and that all attendees are expected to uphold them. The organisers reserve the right to ask anyone to leave should their behaviour be deemed to be inappropriate.
